Alex's Lemonade Stand for life is the exciting partnership between Volvo and Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF). Over six years ago, Volvo met Alex Scott, an amazing young girl, and joined in her thirst to help fund a cure for pediatric cancer.
Alex's courage and ingenuity were the inspiration for the Volvo for life Butterfly Award. Tragically, we lost Alex to cancer in 2004. Her legacy, however, is very much alive. Alex's parents formed Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, which is one of the largest charities supporting pediatric cancer research in the United States.
In order to help expand ALSF's great work across the country, Volvo launched the first virtual lemonade stand to support the cause. This summer, you will be able to buy virtual lemonade at www.lemonadestandforlife.com and 100% of the proceeds will work to fund pediatric cancer research.
